Clarinda Lied Center

The Lied Center is located at the CITY PARK. The City Park is the largest of Clarinda's four parks. It is composed of 19 acres consisting of: four ball fields, four lighted tennis courts, two shelter houses, picnic tables, grills, playground equipment, two sand volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, two shuffleboard courts, basketball court, modern restrooms at two locations and large open areas. It is also home to the Clarinda A's baseball team. They play at the spacious Municipal Stadium. The Clarinda A's are a nationally known baseball team and have had such baseball greats as Ozzie Smith, Bud Black, Von Hayes and Andy Benes play in their program. The Clarinda High School games are also played at the Municipal Stadium.

LANDERS PARK, located in the north part of Clarinda, is 2.0 acres. It has a shelter house, picnic tables, grills, combination basketball / volleyball court, 1150 foot paved walking path, playground equipment and open areas.

KIWANIS PARK, located in the southwest part of Clarinda, is 3.4 acres. It has a shelter house, picnic tables, grills, lighted tennis court, 1100 foot paved walking path, playground equipment and open areas.

CHARLES HOCKENBERRY MEMORIAL PARK is located in the southeast part of Clarinda. Presently it has open space for play, playground equipment, a basketball court and park benches.
